The hijrah destinations series will feature various Muslim countries across the world with information freely available as well as from Muslims (Muhajireen and locals) in those countries.
The first phase of hijrah is the most difficult for Muhajireen and the desire to “go home” is strong. It is important that we join together to help each other to settle in and get organised. Muhajireen need support in obtaining visas, finding accommodation and jobs as well as getting to know the lay of the land.
The series will be updated as regularly as possible and if anyone wants to add or correct some country information it would be greatly appreciated of any Muhajireen or those with the intention of hijrah.
Features common amongst all destinations is that Islam is under fire and strong adherents scrutinised by security agencies. Leadership in Muslim countries is corrupt and fearful of Islam as it is the only thing that can threaten their authority.
Muhajireen should have a realistic idea of what life will be like when they make hijrah. Don’t be romantic about it – there are no Ansar like in the time of Rasool Allah (sas) and no Islamic state. So Hijrah is to a place where you can better practice your religion in relation to your country of origin. In country Muhajireen for the sake of Allah (swt) are often considered dangerous, or ridiculous, cute or misguided. You will not find people with understanding of hijrah except for a few. Let’s hope things change and Islam is revived. All this aside is not an excuse not to make hijrah for the sake of Allah the Most Merciful.
